In the upcoming weeks we are going to be bringing you #teamtuesdays, introducing the talented and diverse crew that make up the K66 team!
Kicking it off, we bring you a new team rider – windsurfer, Alice Read (@alice.read) 🤟🏼
Name and age: Alice Read, 22
Sail number: GBR-248
Sport: Windsurfing
Occupation: Student
Homespot: Portland/Oxford
Favourite discipline and why:
I enjoy all disciplines of windsurfing, but slalom is my favourite at the moment. Being able to just send it as fast as possible is a lot of fun!
Favourite duotone sail: 6.2m warp
Favourite fanatic board: 107L
Favourite ion wetsuit: 3/2 Trinity Core as it matches the colour of my new boards!
Dream quiver: I would love to add some wave gear to my quiver in the future
Favourite place you’ve sailed in the UK: At the moment I think Portland is great as it provides all kinds of conditions for me to train in. Overcombe beach, which is a short drive away, is also a great wave spot!
Favourite place you’ve sailed worldwide: I think so far it’s Bol, Croatia. It was warm, and up to 20knots every afternoon! Beautiful too 🤩
One spot you have to sail for the rest of your life: I can’t answer that yet, I want to travel much more!
Goals in your sport: I’d like to become professional! The goal is to be World champion 🤙🏼
Words you live by: Give your all to what you love!
What does K66 mean to you? It means so much to have another watersports family that supports and backs me every step of my windsurf career, so excited to be part of a great team!
Look out for Alice flying around in Portland Harbour on the new Duotone Warps and Fanatic Falcons and see if you can keep up 💥
